JANUARY FAVORITES

One down, 11 more to  go. Didn't we just shouted "HAPPY NEW YEAR" like about, 30 minutes ago? I swear you guys, time is brutally fast. But hey, let's backtrack for a while and discover what I have been loving for the month of January. (starting from L-R):

1. L'OrĂ©al Infallible Pro Matte Foundation in 105 Natural Beige- This is the BEST foundation of ALL-TIME! Saying that, means a lot because I haven't really been able to try a lot of foundations but all I can say is that, the claims of this bad boy right here is, true. Semi-matte finish? Check.  24-HR foundation? Check. Air-light? Check. Oil-Free? Check.  Like, how is that even possible? Whenever I wear this, I never had to retouch and my face is matte but glowing. Not those other foundation that makes you matte but FLAT. This one really sets beautifully and it's not tacky and the fact that it stays on despite stress, humidity and my oily skin type, this is amazzziiinggg!  I discovered this one in Youtube and yes, Youtube gurus made me buy it. I had to ask a friend to buy it for me in the US because this is not YET available in the Philippines. Watsons is already offering the Infallible line but they have not yet brought the foundation to our shoreline. C'mon Loreal, don't be such a wuss. Give it to us! HAHAHA!

2. L'Occitane Roses et Reines Fresh Body and Face Mist- I am basically a face mist hoarder. It's really an unnecessary step in your makeup routine but once you do this, you will really see an instant difference in your makeup throughout the day. So, when I found this lying in my mom's room, I immediately snatched and sprayed it all over my face and I have been loving it. What sets it apart from any other mist is the fact that it is very lightweight and the rose scent is not too strong. It did not made my makeup last all day but once you have a face full of cake(you know what I mean), after spraying this, the powder will set beautifully on your skin and it makes your face look glowing and dewy.  I think all face mists do that, but there are just some that makes it EXTRA different.

3. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder- I was really curious about this secret brightening powder that Youtube gurus are talking about so I had to try this in Rustans just to find out what the fuss is all about. When I tried it,  I had to check the mirror all the time because I cannot believe that it does made my undereye look BRIGHT and AWAKE. So, I just had to. I have been adding this bad boy religiously into my makeup routine and I have never been disappointed. The shimmer might turn you off(because it did on me the first time I looked at it) but once you put this on, the shimmer does not show up and it just added to the whole "secret brightening" formula that it has. Be careful though in putting this on as this might leave a white cast and that is just plain ugly. I only need the tiniest amount and just brush it along my undereye and voila, it looks like I added 2 hours of sleep.

4. Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Seductive Sienna- Saved the best for last but clearly, I am obsessed with this lipstick. When I first get to swatch it, I just had to make a beeline to Watsons because I can't get over how good it was. This is by far the most unique shade in my collection. It is a 90's inspired red berry brown lipstick that looks beautiful on anyone. Whenever I feel like I want to look put-together, I just put this on and voila, it's like you put too much effort. I don't have red-browns in my collection that is why having this is such a score. It was also on sale in Watsons and this made me love Revlon even more. I should be really checking out Revlon more often because the formula is so similar to MAC but for a fraction of the price, this is way better. I used this on my makeover series here and I loveeeee it!

What have you been loving this month? Let me know!

XOXO,
Angeli G.
